How do you challenge a cultural myth when a child’s smile is the only voice people will listen to?
In the heart of Nigeria, where losing teeth is seen as a natural part of aging, Colgate redefines the conversation. “Let’s Have a Talk” flips the script by giving children with missing teeth of their own the power to challenge adult habits. Set against a culturally resonant backdrop and spoken entirely in Nigerian Pidgin, the campaign transforms a playful exchange into a powerful social wake-up call about oral health.
More than a campaign, it became a cultural moment. “Yanga with your smile” echoed nationwide, turning into a local catchphrase.
The result? Historic sales growth, viral engagement, and a partnership with the Nigerian Ministry of Health. A bold, emotional shift where brand meets purpose and children become the voice of change.
